Art Clay Silver Certification Courses

When you have become comfortable with Art Clay Silver and have made a variety of pieces and would like to learn some more advanced techniques or even teach others to use Art Clay Silver you could consider doing certification courses. The certification courses that we offer are based on the set curriculum which has been developed in Japan by the DAC Creative Studios of Aida Chemical Industries. This ensures that your certifications will be recognised world wide, and each certification course has been carefully planned to create a quality programmes. There are two levels of certification; Level 1 and Level 2.


Level 1 Certification

The level 1 instructor certification course is over a period of 3 days.  You will be in our studio from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening which you will be given the opportunity to learn the techniques of seven different pieces. This includes rings, stone setting, pearl setting, drawing with paste type, a brooch, pendants and earrings.

The level 1 course shows you advanced techniques using Art Clay Silver In different forms. Once you have successfully completed the course you will receive your certificate. This will then allow you to teach introductory classes for Art clay silver.

To be able to complete the course successfully we recommend that you attend at least one full day introductory course followed by a degree of practice either by yourself or with studio guidance, this will give you the level of experience to achieve the standard required to pass this course.

Level 2 Certification

The second certification course is also over a period of 3 days and you will be in our studio from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening. This course will allow you to learn in depth knowledge in working with art clay silver. At this level more advanced techniques are covered, You will learn how to make a carved design ring, a tie tack, a combined glass and silver pendant, a fine silver and gold pendant, using gold leaf, and a stick brooch.

In order to take the Level 2 course you will have to first complete the level 1 course successfully and have at least 6 months practical experience between courses.
